Clapton in Gordano – Hallen

Between the Black Horse Inn, Clapton in Gordano, and the King William IV pub in Hallen.
Both directions are the same – no one-way sections.

Highlights

Left out of the Black Horse, under the M5 motorway and through Portbury. Across the A369 , through Easton in Gordano and down the hill into Pill.

Pill harbour

Pill
Take time to explore the harbour. If you like ‘local’ music, the Wurzels did a great song about Pill – ‘Pill Pill I love thee still‘.

Windmills

Around and onto the cyclepath and up and over the M5 motorway bridge. Nice views of Pill and the Avon river. Down the other side into Shirehampton and left on the cycleway that runs parallel to Long Cross. Left at st Bedes School onto a cyclepath that runs over the M5 and under the M49 and through an area of large industrial buildings and huge windmills. Then down a very pretty tree-lined lane before crossing the M5 and meandering into Hallen, where we stop at the King William the 4th Pub.
